The Electric Dandelions are magnificent sculptures made of steel and acrylic that are inspired by the dandelion flower. During the day, their tall structures showcase an elegant and beautiful design with a spherical shape that is achieved through the geodesic sphere at its core. However, the real magic happens at night when the Electric Dandelions come to life with a bright and intense spectacle that is sure to mesmerize anyone who beholds it.

Inside the Installation

Materials: steel, acrylic, LED lights

Electric Dandelions is made up of 41 light tubes.
It uses a geodesic dome framework to support itself.
Each dandelion requires over 1,200 lbs. of counter weight.
The heads alone weigh over 80 lbs. each.

Meet Mathew Rosenblatt and Abram Santa Cruz, two spirited artists who have been collaborating on projects for many years.
